About the Piece
"Caged" is my expressive representation of the feelings I experience as an artist, being trapped by society. I often feel that artists are categorized by their styles, mediums, and other factors, and the world expects them to adhere to that standard. If an artist thinks outside their usual realm, it is often not accepted. It is like being caged and the only time that the door opens is when the world approves of what you have created.
